I recently came across a great deal on Dogswell Happy Hips Lamb and Sweet Potato canned dog food at an overstock store near my house. They were priced 50 cents a can. I was lucky. I normally feed the Petsmart Brand Authority mixed with Innova's Evo small dog formula dry kibble. My dog is not going to eat authority for a long time because I cleared out the shelves of the local overstock store. This canned dog food is of superior quality over Authority and was an awesome deal. It has none of the following, soy, rice, corn, wheat, BHA/BHT, ethoxyqui, or artificial flavors, colors, and preservatives. This food is better than mostof the canned crap sold at the grocery store and better than authority.

I mix canned food in my dog's regular diet of Innova Evo small bites. This canned dog food product is stew style. Stew Style typically has chunks of processed meaty compounds mixed in a gravy like substance. The gravy substance coats my dog's small kibbles in a glaze and makes them more palatable to my picky little dog. The chunks are normally eaten first as they are the tastiest morsels in the bowl. The gravy makes sure my dog does eats the dry kibble too. This dog food is great to feed with dry kibble. Wet dog food makes the food less boring and adds more variety to the dog's diet. This food mixes great.
This food boasts the ability to help maintain healthy Hips and Joints. I have not used the product long enough to know for sure, but it contains dried chicken cartilage and shrimp meal. These are a natural source of glucosamine. A lot of dogs benefit from glucosamine. My dog has week hindquarters and glucosamine has helped his little rear end in the past.
The food also claims to be healthy and so do a lot of other brands. Unlike Beneful this food actually is. Healthy dog food is determined by the ingredients not the marketing. The ingredients in this product prove the dog food is healthy. Does my dog love it? Yes cause most dogs will love any brand of smelly wet dog food. The gravy like substance makes him love his dry food too.
Dogswell Happy Hips canned food is made in the US. Be aware of some of the treats made by Dogswell. Some of the treats are made in China. It's hard to trust China with pet food. They don't have a great record of quality.
Dogswell is normally an expensive pet food but the quality is good and worth it. Plus I do not need to buy any additional glucosamine supplements to give to my small little rat dog. There are many ingredients in the food that cover his small dog needs. I think I will continue to buy this food when my stash runs out.
This would be a good food to feed to allergy prone dogs because it lacks grains and soy which are common allergents to dogs.
