About Me: I love to travel to Disney World and absolutely love anything Disney.

Plush comfortable beds and they give you a cookie!

Pros:Easy location, and comfortable rooms.
Cons:easy location but hard to get to
The Bottom Line: A nice addition from the Hilton family, complete with cookies and special bedding. A nicer hotel to stay at, at an economical rate!

I stayed at the Doubletree Bayside Hotel (part of the Hilton family of hotels) on my quest to stay at as many hotels as I can while training for work in Boston! I figured heck if I had to stay up there I’d have fun with the whole thing and have an adventure of hotel hopping!

This hotel is located by the Bayside Expo center in the Dorchester area of Boston on Mt. Vernon St. It is off of I-93. It was kind of confusing to get to because there is a rotary and not clearly labeled street names, especially for someone who is unfamiliar with the area!

The lobby area of the hotel is pretty large, with a vast seating area with couches, tables and chairs, a bar, business center, and an Au Bon Pain bakery/café. The check-in process went very well and the staff were very nice and you even get a warm chocolate chip cookie when you check in! YUM! They do make you pay a ten dollar parking fee, which I found pretty absurd considering the parking area had a lot of spaces and it was just a lot behind the hotel with really not a lot of security except a chicken wire fence.

To the right of the check-in desk is a bay of two elevators to the other floors in the hotel.

The room itself had an actual closet behind a door complete with ironing board, iron, and an extra pillow and blanket. My room had a king size bed, two night stands, a chair, TV on a dresser, another table that had a coffee maker (with Wolfgang Puck brand coffee), desk, and desk chair. The bathroom had a bathtub/shower (the shower head had nice pressure and good distribution of water), counter area with sink, and of course the toilet. They offer all Neutrogena products in the bathroom.

Doubletree Offers what they call the “Sweet Dreams” accommodations at their hotels. These include a pillow top mattress (which, you sink right into! And it is very comfortable to sleep on), an abundance of plush pillows, velour blankets, and better quality sheets.

The room’s décor was very simple yet nice and newer looking. It was classic and not overwhelming. There are ice machines and vending machines located on selected floors by the elevators. There are also about 30 rooms per floor.

Things I would have improved about this hotel would be having a full-length mirror, the only mirror they offer in the room is the bathroom one.

Au Bon Pain is open from 6am – 11pm. It offers not only bakery items but sandwiches, soups, and salads. The business center is open 24 hours a day and is free of charge and has two computers to access the internet.

The hotel is literally on the same property of the Bayside Expo Center so if you are there for business this hotel would be ideal! Also, a “T” station is within a one-block radius. You can walk to this station and it is a red line.

I would definitely put this on my list of must-tries again!
The rooms cost around $100 per night, plus parking and tax.
