My hair, which is of the uber-fine variety, apparently is a Nelly Furtado fan. Given any slight change in weather (or dry winter air) it makes like a bird and will only "fly away". I like to try to appear somewhat polished, but my hair is not always on my side. It kinda does what it wants to do...

I have tried various smoothing products in my hair, only to find that it gets weighed down by the heavy oils in them. It can appear greasy or flat due to this. My hair needs something light with just the right amount of smoothing power.
Enter Dove Smooth and Soft Anti-Frizz Cream to save the day. It is awesome, in my opinion. It has a great scent, is light, softens, smoothes, adds shine...and doesn't cost a fortune. It is light and creamy...not oily at all. I love this Dove!
That Dove Magic
I was a wee bit reluctant to try Dove Smooth&Soft at first, as I was not really impressed with Dove shampoos and conditioners for my hair type. I, however, received a free sample in the mail and decided to give it a go.
I was not impressed at first, as I tried to use the product on my dry hair at the end of the day. It kind of added sheen, but made it a little flatter in appearance. I decided not to give up, and tried again the next morning after showering.
I used Dove Smooth & Soft on my towel-dried hair along with my gel. After blow drying, it did appear that my hair was shiny, soft, and relatively frizz free. It looked great! The product was light enough that it did not leave my hair an oily mess. It seems to absorb nicely into the hair.
The sample I received was a teeny tiny little pouch, and I quicky used it up. I saw a coupon for Dove in Sunday's paper for a dollar off, so I purchased a bottle of the product at the grocery store around the corner. I used it again the next day, with the same great results.
Although I did not at first have great luck with Dove on my dry hair, I used a tiny amount to finish a blown-straight style. It worked quite well, as my hair was freshly washed, and welcomed the added moisture nicely. I would not recommend using it later in the day for those with fine hair, however. It seems best suited for use on damp hair.
Dove Smooth & Soft does not weigh hair down. It truly does have the "weightless" moisturizers it claims to have, and it smells great, too! It leave shair with a very healthy sheen. My hair is touchaby soft, like silk!
A Little Goes A Long Way
This is a great product when used sparingly. Do not use a huge glob, or it will weigh hair down. It is not a gel or voumizer. It is meant to tame the frizzies and fly-aways! I have used too much on occasion, and the results have not been as wonderful.
A small, dime-sized amount is enough for medium-length, fine hair such as mine. Thick, corse, extra-long, or especially curly hair may need a bit more. I would recommend using the product sparingly, then working through the hair, adding more as needed.
What is In It?
I am not gonna give you the run down of unpronounceable chemical ingredients. I will say, however, that it may make the hair feel silky because it contains...silk. Silk amino acids, that is. It also contains glycerine and the oil of the borago seed...whatever that is!
The Bottle..Size, Price..Blah Blah Blah
Okay, for those of you sticklers out there, here are some minor details. The bottle is white with a blue pump top and has the familiar Dove logo. It comes only in the four ounce size, I believe. The bottle is oh-so-attractive and smooth like the glorious product. Alright, so I am being a smart-tail. Just wanted to divulge that pertinent information.
Get It! Got It! Gotta Have It!
If your hair is anything like mine, I am sure this product will work for you. I really do like Dove Smooth&Shine even if I was not initially impressed. It is not heavy, and it will not flake. I cannot imagine my mornings without it! It has graetly improved my hair's appearance.
I purchased this product for $3.99 with a coupon at Food lion. It can be found at most major retailers that sell Dove products, or online.
