My Experience
Because my husband has eczema and his super sensitive skin is prone to irritation, it is difficult to find soap products that will work well with his skin.
We received a small sample bottle of Dove's Deep Moisture Hand Wash, which worked well with his skin, so we decided to try another of Dove's hand washes -- the Cool Moisture Nourishing Hand Wash.
I wasn't too sure how I would like the Cool Moisture Nourishing Hand Wash after a fairly disappointing experience with Dove's Cool Moisture Body Wash. Fortunately, Dove's Cool Moisture Nourishing Hand Wash does not disappoint.
The packaging of the hand wash is nice; it is a light green, tear-drop shaped bottle with a pump dispenser. The hand wash retails for about $3.50 -- $2.50 when it is on sale. That is a bit pricey for me, even at a sale price ... but it is good to know that bulk refills are available for the hand wash, making the price per ounce less expensive.
The hand wash is a very light green, lotion-like substance. It has a thick consistency, more like a lotion than a hand wash. It does not lather up much, but spreads on hands easily and can be distributed without difficulty. The hand wash rinses away cleanly, although it does take a bit more rubbing action to get it completely off of hands. The scent of the hand wash is nice, sweet, and clean. There is a hint of cucumbers, but the scent is more just clean and sweet. It isn't as overpowering and it does linger a bit on skin after it is rinsed away.
My hands are left clean and my hands do not feel stripped of moisture after using this hand wash, although they also do not feel as though they are freshly moisturized with lotion either. They aren't dry like when I use other hand washes (such as the harsh hand wash at work), so I can definitely tell a difference with the added moisturizers in the Dove Cool Moisture Nourishing Hand Wash. The hand wash definitely does not strip hands of moisture and does not leave hands parched.
What is nice about the hand wash is that Dove Cool Moisture Nourishing Hand Wash does not irritate my husband's sensitive skin. His sensitive skin has not had any adverse reactions from using the hand wash! Huzzah!
Overall Thoughts
Dove Cool Moisture Nourishing Hand Wash is a non-anti-bacterial hand soap that does not strip moisture from skin, while leaving hands clean and lightly scented.
