| melissabear's Full Review: Dove Essential Nutrients Day Lotion SPF 15 |
I purchased this Dove lotion when I was desperate and out of cash. Although that was forever ago, the bottle is still mostly full.
The lotion is pretty thin, and I have yet to figure out how to squeeze the bottle without getting too much out. The cool white lotion feels like a slippery mess in my hands, on the counter, and finally on my towel.
Upon applying it to my face after washing, I notice that my face is greasy and shiny looking..almost like it needs to be washed again.
When I have tried applying Dove lotion under my makeup, my foundation won't set right and looks blotchy for the rest of the day.
When I try skipping foundation and applying powder directly on top of the lotion I get a greasy, powdery mess all over my face.
And when I apply this lotion at night, I wake up the next day with pimples.
Its a no win for my skin!
This Dove lotion can be a good temporary spot fix, but after it gets absorbed, or dries up, or is rubbed off, or wherever it goes, my skin is usually worse looking than before I used it.
I appreciate that its got some sun protection, but with the way my face ends up looking after I use it, I dont really want to go outside afterall.
