lhmercy's Full Review: Dr. Bronner's Bar Soap Peppermint 5oz
I developed eczema this past Sept. and the dermatologist recommended expensive soaps and lotions to keep from drying my skin out further. My skin become irritated with everything that was recommended. I took a bath or shower only when absolutely necessary and in cool water all winter long because of the intense nature of the itching a day later. Even just plain cool water seemed to irritate my skin. I was miserable. Then one day I decided to try this Dr. Bronner's liquid peppermint soap and see if the peppermint would make my itching subside, or just get any sensation other than what I'd been dealing with. It actually felt good. But what was even better, my skin was not irritated and dry the next day. This soap is wonderful. It seemed almost counterintuitive, putting peppermint anything on dry irritated skin. But, I finally got some relief when I was started using this soap and was able to clean my skin without further irritation, and can even use warm water to shower in now.
It smells wonderful, and you feel clean. Use it with a japanese washcloth that you get at the oriental store and your soap will last forever, too.
