Hi there. My only thought is that the Dramamine formulation may be a lower dose of Meclizine than your Antivert prescription. Dramamine has only 25mg per does, whereas Antivert goes up to 100mg depending on which dosage your doctor prescribed.
It's also possible you may be more sensitive to the effects of this drug. Good luck!

I use Antivert for vertigo from an ear problem and it causes me to want to sleep almost immediately upon taking it. I wondered if this product really was a "less drowsy" one and how it could be.
I have heard very good things about this though and may try it. If it's even a little less sleep inducing than Antivert, I am all for it.
