| Doc_Holliday's Full Review: Dremel 16 Inch 2-Speed Scroll Saw 1672 |
Recently I purchased the Dremel 1672 scroll saw and am very pleased with it's performance. The quick blade change option makes changing blades a snap. I like the added feature of the chip blower that keeps the saw dust and chips off from your drawn lines for easy visability. The 2 speed option is also very nice for working with different woods and blade types. The unit itself is lightweight for it's size and even with the added leg kit takes up little space in your shop and easy to move out of your way when done. It has an added port at the bottom that you can hook a shop vac or saw dust collector to, which is very nice to use and helps keep the floor and the saw pretty much clean. The work table is very sturdy and has an adjustment for many different angles. I recently was not paying attention and broke the plastic safety shroud on my saw, I called Dremel and explained my goof up to them and asked to purchase a new shroud, The Customer Service lady was very friendly and offered to send me a new one at no cost to me! One was sent to me via Federal Express next day air! I have to say that Dremel makes a very good product for the price. I feel that if you are a beginner or a seasoned pro, The Dremel 1672 is the best scroll saw money can buy and will give you many years of very dependable service.
