User Rating: Excellent
Pros:Inexpensive, cute, my children haven't gotten bored with them after over a year
Cons:Where did her shoes go??
The Bottom Line: I recommend Dress-Up Kayla and any of the other Kelly Club dolls to girls 2-8 yrs old. My kids love collecting them.
Dress-up Kayla is just one of the many Kelly Dolls you can buy. How many different Kelly Dolls are they??? No-one knows, :) We have 16 in our house, and there are at least 20 that we do not have... how's that for an estimate?!?

Dress-up Kayla is 4 1/2 inches tall...(much smaller than Barbie, who stands at 11 inches tall). She is real cute, in her lacey dress, with earrings, string of pearls and high heels, with a touch of make-up. She is only cost me $4.99 at the local Toys R' Us store. Her dress is easily removed (because kids love naked Barbie's, Kelly Dolls, Baby Dolls- etc.) The shoes also come off, which is both a pro and a con. PRO because if you have more than one of the Kelly Doll's you can switch outfits, switch shoes.
CON because they are so easily lost.
Just like Barbie, Kelly dolls have accessories you can buy for them, playground, kitchen, Palace, extra clothes, etc.
Each of the Kelly dolls have a unique outfit, a pair of shoes, and a name. Some of the newer have bendable knees. Matel tries to make each doll an individual, giving them slightly different facial features, such as color of eyes, color of lips. Also they try to give each girl different hair, whether it's color, length or style. Also, they seem to be durable, no limbs have been broken off, no heads have popped off.
Dress-up Kayla is a relatively new addition to our ever expanding collection of Kelly Dolls, she has already been stripped of her fancy dress and shoes, taken a bath, played in the Kelly Club playground, took a ride in Barbie's Jeep, been lost, and then found, her high heel shoes are now on another doll, and she is wearing "Rainy Day Marissa's" goulashes. Right now she is hanging out with some of her friends........
Winter Fun Nikki
Gymnast Kayla...same doll different outfit
Biker Baby Belinda
-just to name a few.
So there she is, Dress-up Kayla on my 6 year old's floor amongst a sea of other Kelly Dolls. My soon to be 3 year old Olivia will sit for a half an hour to forty-five minutes all by herself or with Jamie, playing with the Kelly Dolls. Having Dress-up Kayla and all the other Kelly Club dolls they have received, is teaching them about interaction, sharing, imagination, expanding her attention span, collecting something, taking care and cleaning up her dolls, so they don't lose any more of those little shoes!, and just plain fun!
