I neglected to do my usual disclaimer ("this is a review of the movie, not the book or the actual life of the person involved") but it still stands. I've no idea how this translates relative to the book, but it made for the best Keira Knightley costume drama I've yet seen.

Now I'm curious to see how well it translated to screen. I've always thought that Georgiana Spencer was a rather tragic figure, and in terms of blunders made a very stupid mistake; and the final outcome of her life was downright horrible. Thank you for the review; I have the same problems you do with Kiera Knightly -- she has a ways to go in terms of range, it would be good to see her expand her roles beyond costume dramas. -- Telynor
