Pros: Availability.
Cons: A bit overpriced and over-hyped
The Bottom Line: I would recommend getting equal exchange coffee instead. Much better coffee and is much more green. But if faced with starbuck, folgers, and maxwell. Pick this.

| miketwolf21's Full Review: Dunkin Donuts Original Blend |
While not an authority on coffee, I have educated myself throughly on coffee. Everything about it. So just for fun I decided to try cupping, or taste testing, some dunkin donuts original blend. i used a freshly open pre-ground package with a drip coffee maker. tasting notes- -Moderately bright(good quality), but with some sourness(not a good quality) coming through. -Evident cherry notes and a slight toasty flavor coming through also. The berry flavor is what you notice at first then it transistions to the toasty hints -Overall is not an intensely aromatic coffee. Mellow is a good word to describe it.
Comparing it to other competitors, (Maxwell, Starbucks house blend, Folgers, other grocery brands) this a real coffee that offers some good charactoristics. With that said, this is not near perfect. Its not very aromatic(pre-ground?) and suffers from a slgihtly noticable sourness. Plus at 8 bucks a pound it isn't cheap. Are there better coffees for the price? Yes. Try 8 o'clock columbian($6/lb) or better yet try equal exchange (yes its 8.50 a pound, but if fresh is much much better, not to mention environmentally and socially responsible).
In the end this is an above average grocery brand that is not a bad choice if you looking for a mellow coffee.
