Thinking about buying some...

Pros: Easy riders - soak up bumps and turn intuitively (imagine that)

Cons: Slightly too soft and wide for my taste

The Bottom Line: These are great skis at a relatively reasonable price.

I demo'd these skis at Kirkwood recently, and compared to my old skis it was like going from a Geo Metro to a Cadillac. I say Cadillac rather than some other nice car because they really do ride that way - you literally cannot feel any bumpiness in the snow (and the snow was quite icy and bumpy the day I had the Dynastars).

Besides the smooth ride, I thought the turning was quite good, although I have not skied with many shaped skis and so have little basis for comparison.

I think these are awfully good skis, but I can't quite give them the best possible rating because I tried my friend's $1100 K2's the same day and they were unquestionably better. But unless you have infinite money, I'd go for the Dynastars because you get 95% of the ski at 50% of the price.
