Pros: Easy to clean. Strong suction. No filters to clog and clean.
Cons: Tendency to tip over when using wand, too high to fit under low beds.
The Bottom Line: Never loses suction. Durable. Easy to clean and use. Beats other vacuums hands down.

I've owned all sorts of vacuum cleaners -- Hoovers, Eurekas, even the fancy European brands like Electrolux. But the Dyson best all of them hands down.
I bought by Dyson 3 years ago to replace a $69 model. My wife hit the roof when she found out I paid $350 for it. Now, she couldn't be happier and agrees that it was worth the extra money.
What's so great about it?
First: It's bagless. So no more fiddling around with bags.
Second: It's easy to empty. Just detach the container by pulling a knob and press another button and the bottom of the container falls away to let the dust out.
Third: It does both carpet and bare floors. No more having to install attachments to do my wood floors.
Fourth: Filters need to be cleaned only twice a year -- just rinse and dry. The other bagless model I had was irritating because the filter kept getting clogged and I would have to spend 20 minutes with a toothpick unclogging the filter every month.
Fifth: It really sucks. It has the strongest suction that I've felt in any of my vacuums. And it's true that it never loses suction.
Sixth: It's made of some sort of polymer/plastic but if feels very strong and durable.
Seventh: The parts snap together so I can convert it to a canister with a wand very easily. This doesn't work as well as it can tip over but all it took was a little practice.
Bottom Line
It's the best vacuum that money can buy and I highly recommend it.
