I heard a lot of good things about the Dyson vacuums but my husband and I were reluctant to buy because of the price.
But now that we have one, I can not imagine cleaning a home, especially with pets, without this vacuum.
It picks up pet hair and human hair very well and the tools are fantastic. My husband almost seems to like vacuuming now because of this machine.
I like to use it on our tile and it does a pretty good job. It's also great for our stairs because of the long, flexible hose.
The only negatives I would give it, aside from the price, is that the canister is small which means we have to make quite a few trips to the trash. But hey, good exercise!
It also doesn't come with a pouch or case for all the attachments. I have mine in a grocery bag. It's not a big deal, but it would be nice to have it's own case, especially for the price.
You also might find it a bit confusing when using the attachments for the first time. My husband and I must have spent 10-15 minutes trying to figure out how to use the crevice tool properly with the long hose. It's a snap now, but the directions aren't very clear.
Overall, I really enjoy my Dyson. I will never buy another Dirt Devil, Hoover, Eureka, etc. as long as Dyson continues to churn out these quality vacuums. For people with pets and lots of dust-attracting electronics, this is the vacuum you want.
