This game is a hoot. We purchased this game on the advice of friends when we bought our X-Box. It is an easy game, with good graphics, and an easy concept. Although not a gaming person myself, my five year old son became a pro after a day of playing this game. It is great as a "beginner game" because the easy concept allows you to get a feel for the control and all the button combinations. My five year old actually grasped the idea while I did not, and became upset with me that I was just "ruining his game".
I would say this game is great as a starter. Although not as graphic as some, it has great game play, and some great tricks you can learn as you go. After all the games we have bought, it is still a family favorite (although I still seem to just be 'messing it up').
