I love the ergo, i use it with my almost 2 year old and we both love it.  My 3.5 year old begs me to wear him in it all the time.  If you want a easy to use long lasting carrier this is for you.  Very easy to use for all day long.  Perfect for a sleeping child. My youngest sleeps in it all the time.  I pull the hood up and hes out.  Perfect for grocery shopping.  You can use it from tiny baby (with insert) up to toddler.  I bought it because i had a young 2 year old and needed to keep my hands free to run after him and still no where my newborn was.  Very durable it has great support.  Holds the child in a seated position verses the other carriers where the child hangs from the crotch.  Easy to adjust from one person to use to another.  Destributes the weight on the hips unlike others that put the wieght on your back.  I use it all the time at the mall my youngest hates the stroller so he prefers to becarried and this is perfect to be able to put him on my back and still tend to my 3 year old and shop.  You can use the carry on the front for facing in, on the back for facing you and on you hip.  I have not tried the hip but have used it the other 2 ways with no problem.
