Pros:Professional features/Ameteur price
Cons:mahogany neck wont last as long as hard maple and can't be replaced
The Bottom Line: Dont buy any other 7-string from LTD.Period.
The other models are good guitars, but the H-307 blows them out of the sky!
The H-307's were available for a short time during the beginning of the decade.Based on the ESP Horizon series, these Korean built instruments featured figured tops, transparent finishes, and quality fretwork.

The guitars were mostly constructed of mahogany(body and neck)with flame maple tops and rosewood fretboards. They also featured 3-piece,thru-body necks, which were bound in white.Instead of traditional body binding,ESP left the edges or the maple top uncolored, creating a unique and subtle effect.
The hardware consists of a tune-o-matic bridge with stop-bar tail piece,graphite nut,3-way selector,one volume/one tone,3x4 esp tuning machines,and passive EMG pickups.
The stock hardware and electronic controls are of acceptable quality, the pickups, however, are not.The volume balance is way off, they are noisy, and they fail to reproduce the sonic properties of the tone-woods used in the construction of this instrument.I would recommend Duncans or,if you must have EMG's then go active.
This guitar is fast! There is virtually no heel, and the cutaway joins the fingerboard at the 23rd fret, offering effortless access to the upper register. The slightly curved fingerboard is round enough for chording, yet flat enough for soloing. The neck is thin yet substantial.Tons of sustain, warm, familiar tone, and plenty of bite.Well suited for light or heavy strings, jazz or metal, rhythm or lead, this is also a versatile axe.
I can say from experience that this is a dependable,road-worthy 7-string.When properly set up,the action, intonation, and tuning stability are top-notch.The thing practically plays itself, and stands up to abuse.
I would highly recommend this guitar to any serious player looking for a quality mid-priced seven!
