EZ Rent A Car, DFW Airport, A Pleasant Surprise

Pros: Wonderful price on an intermediate/mid-size, great service, nice people.
Cons: All DFW rent a car offices are a zillion miles away from the terminal.
The Bottom Line: I cannot find one thing wrong with our EZ Rent A Car experience. If you get a great price, go for it!

After a bad experience with the CarRental.com online site and company, see review on CarRental.com, I was full of trepidation about EZ Rent A Car. I wasn't sure when to book it, however, it WAS located at the airport and the site looked fine. So we went with it and was pleasantly surprised.
EZ Rent A Car is a smaller company, located in seven states, California, Nevada, Texas, Colorado, Georgia, Florida, and Alaska where I assume Sarah Palin is a big customer of EZ Rent A Car. They claim to offer the best value in car rentals with an airport location. I had used "off-brands" before with success, provided they are at the airport or located at the airport site for rent a cars. I will no longer use an off-site company.
We had booked an intermediate car through CarRentals.com and were pleased to get a Ford Fusion at the site. At DFW, everything is miles away and from the terminal, we had to take the rent a car bus shuttle to the hinterlands to get our car. EZ Rent A Car was right there along Hertz, Avis, and Thrifty. That was a good sign. They had a big sign outside of the office that no cars were available but we walked right up with our reservation and got our car within minutes. The walk to the car was a matter of yards, close, nice.
EZ Rent A Car did offer us an upgrade to an SUV for only $6 a day but we declined, as we were pleased with the Fusion. Two adults, two kids, minimal luggage, the intermediate vehicle was fine. The staff was nice, they did not try to hard sell me on insurance and other programs I did not need. They were very helpful with directions to the new hotel, going on a mapquest type directional to get us there fast and safe. The rate of $202 was the best within $150 I could get, nearly a 50% savings from the $350-$400 rates I was looking at.
The reason I had not heard of EZ Rent A Car is that is only available in those seven states. E-Z Rent-A-Car is a discount car rental provider operating in the United States and are value driven. The Company calls itself "The Best Value in Car Rental" as they deliver this value through excellent customer service, late-model vehicles, easy and efficient reservation and rental process and our low rates. EZ Rent A Car continues to expand on a national level because of the value that they provide.
I joined there frequent rental program, EZ Money, and it free to join! Some of the rewards and programs EZ Money offers are:

After getting the EZ Money sign up, off we went, no hassle, no strong arm tactics, it was EZ. Our drop off experience was automatic, same place where we picked up, EZ, and accurate. We were billed for what we were estimated. Right on, even receiving another copy of our bill a few days later via mail, in case of any errors or changes.
If you want to take a look, be sure to go to the coupons page on the EZ Rent A Car website to save an additional 5% or more, depending on the specials they are running. I recommend EZ Rent A Car and their website: e-zrentacar.com for a great value in select markets.
