E&J Brandy blended with sweet cream. The first spirit to combine the brandy/cognac category with the cordial liqueur category. Sweet, creamy flavor. Good served straight, on the rocks or as an after dinner drink.
E&J BRANDY CASK & CREAM: Brandy Never Tasted So Good

Pros: Smooth and creamy taste; excellent liqueur servered hot or cold; affordable
Cons: Somewhat difficult to locate in smaller grocers and liquor stores.
Let me first start by saying that I have never been a fan of brandy or whiskey but was introduced to a beverage that would change that forever. Last Christmas one of my clients gave me a bottle of E&J Brandy Cask & Cream as a gift.
We had family over for Christmas Eve and took the chilled bottle of Cask & Cream out to serve after dinner. I had not tried this before and wasn't quite sure whether to serve it as a shot or as a coffee drink. Most of our guests were having coffee so I decided to use the Cask & Cream like I would use Bailey's and poured a shot glass full in each cup of coffee. After all, Cask & Cream is simply brandy swirled with sweet cream so it couldn't be any different than other brands.
The Cask & Cream received mixed reviews from our guests. My mother thought it was too strong and not at all smooth like Bailey's Irish Cream. She said she could definitely taste the Brandy over anything else. I thought this strange since Cask & Cream is 34 Proof like its cordial competitors. She was right though. The Cask & Cream did seem a tad stronger on the alcohol taste than some of the other brands of cream liqueurs.
Everyone seemed to enjoy the drink and a couple even had a second cup. I think the drinks would have been even better with whipped cream and maybe some cinnamon sprinkled on top but I wasn't prepared - this time.
E&J Brandy is the first to combine brandy with the cordial liqueur category. I am now more prone to purchase this liqueur over other brands I have bought in the past. I found the Cask & Cream to have a slight kick due to the Brandy but it was also creamy and sweet. A perfect beverage choice for after dinner, cold nights, or any time you want a relaxing drink.
Since that first gifted bottle, we have purchased two more 750 ml bottles and use the liqueur as a nightcap. Cask & Cream is affordable too at just $9.00 a bottle at our local grocer. We have also been able to purchase 8-packs of the plastic airplane size drinks for $5.00 when the store has them available. These are great to put in gift baskets or the perfect measured amount to pour in coffee or hot cocoa.
If you like Baileys then you will absolutely love the E&J Brandy product.
