I have read many of your opinions on the Earth's Best Rice Cereal and your problems with baby spitting it back out due to the grittiness. I know many people who have used the usual supermarket brands and then tried to switch to Earth's Best and found it to be an unsuccessful endeavor.
Understandably so, Earth's Best dry cereals are whole grain cereals, they always use brown rice in their foods and this goes for the dry cereal too, their mixed whole grain dry cereal is just that. Those of us who eat whole grains regularly, I assume, are accustomed to or even prefer the 'grittiness' as inherent in whole, real food.
I used only Earth's Best dry cereals and so my baby was used to the texture. I mixed it with breast milk and Earth's Best fruits or organic fruits that I had on hand and he loved it. It does have a fuller texture and I think that most babies who are accustomed to the smoother texture of the other brands tend not to prefer Earth's Best. If you want to use organic though, it is worth a try. Earth's best makes jarred breakfasts that are much smoother and very tasty and they include whole grains and even dates.
I would recommend using Earth's Best dry cereals before giving your baby other brands if you make the choice to use organic.
