We enjoy giving our daughter Earth's Best baby foods. She is my third child and I have used a variety of baby foods. I can honestly say that Earth's Best is the best I have seen, smelled and yes, tasted. It does cost a little more than the others, but, for my baby, its worth it.
I think I have used all the baby foods on the market. From Gerber and Beechnut to whatever has been on sale. Earth's best has been the best for my baby. Upon opening the jar, you can tell by the color it is closer to the original food than the rest. NO PRESERVATIVES!!! In my opinion, applesauce is not supposed to be white. Apples once they are exposed to air, turn brown. Its only natural that applesauce would too; as long as there is nothing added to it, that is.
Before I give my baby anything new, I smell it. Its to, kind of, make sure it is fresh. Out of all the babyfood I have smelled, Earth's Best smells the best. It actually smell like the whole foods. Peaches smell like peaches, apples smell like apples, and veggies smell like veggies. That is the way it should be if you ask me.
I have always been afraid to taste babyfood. The thought is actually nausiating to me. I do love my children though, and I want to make sure they are getting the very best I can give them. So, I have tasted babyfood. I actually do not mind even eating Earth's Best Applesauce. I have tasted the others and they taste like the foods they are. Not like some processed something or other... I know that my baby is getting food just like I eat, only in a mushy form.
I do not know about you, but I am willing to pay a little more for something that is better for my baby. Its just like driving a little farther to go see the better doctor. I am more than happy to pay a little more for better food to put in my babys tummy.
