After hearing a lot about buying and selling on eBay, I decided that I wanted to try it out myself. However I didn't know how to start. The book EBAY THE SMART WAY really helped me a lot. After reading this book, I have successfully bought and sold several items on eBay.
This book is an in depth tutorial that teaches you how to use, buy, and sell on eBay effectively. It is geared towards both beginners and experts alike. It is simply written, and provides the reader with basic and simple step-by-step instructions on the basics of bidding and timing, the different kinds of auctions, and third-party bidding software. As a buyer I was able to incorporate many of his instructions and improved my chances of winning many auctions.
The book also has tons of tips for sellers, including tips on when to schedule auctions for maximum profits, how to use HTML to effectively market your item, how to protect yourself against fraud, and how to keep good records. The author presents many of these tips through the use of great examples. I followed some of these tips, and on my first attempt at selling, I sold 3 out of 15 items. I guess that's not too bad for my first attempt.
Overall, I am very happy with the wealth of information provided in this book. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to be successful at eBay.
