| pennyA007's Full Review: Ebay the Smart Way: Selling, Buying, and Profiting... |
A little over a year ago I drifted onto Ebay and started purchasing things I found I needed or wanted. I was absolutely hooked and loved every minute there. I had always been an auction lover, but with Ebay, it brought it into my home. The more I bought the more I bagan to think that maybe I could sell too, therefore supplementing my family income. After careful consideration, we bought a digital camera, and upgraded our computer. The day we brought the new computer home I started taking pictures of my stockpile I had acquired to sell. I have been going strong since. I have not made a fortune doing this, but it has helped supplement the income. I think the one thing you need the most is organization. I have spent the last few months finding short cuts and just learning. My husband is thrilled to death. I am having a ball. I have found a majority of the people on Ebay are very nice and good people. I have not run against an dishonest seller and I try very hard to give good honest service to my customers. Another advantage to earning money this way is that you can cut back if circumstances demand, or speed up later. You could never do that with a job. Sometimes you don't sell everything, so what I do is put things on other auction sites, such as Yahoo, and sometimes they sell there. This is a source of amazement for myself and my husband, what sells and what doesn't do well. We will acquire something thinking it will sell big time, and it doesn't. Some little thing we don't really think will sell well, will go over big! The down side to this, is dead bead bidders that don't follow through with the deal, or their check bounces. Here is where the feedback comes into play. Before you buy or sell, check out your potential buyer or sellers feedback. This is their standing in the Ebay community. It is not a sure thing, but offers some cloak of protection. If their feedback shows excessive negative feedback, you can decline doing business with them. Another minor problem is your home becomes a store house for things to sell. When buying, you have to be careful to receive what is advertised. Most things are not new, but if there being sold they should be in good condition or what ever condition they are advertised at. When all is said and done, this is a good business to get into with potential to grow and prosper.
