| clintfon's Full Review: Ebay the Smart Way: Selling, Buying, and Profiting... |
If you are looking for a second source of income, how about staying at home, doing some spring cleaning, getting rid of that junk in the attic or garage and making cold hard cash!!! Too good to be true, you say? I beg to differ. The answer, in one strange word, is eBay.
But, you say, you are intimidated by the internet, or by searching in a place where items are bought and sold. Fear not, my cyber friend! First off, to get the feel of the site, just do a search for eBay. When the site pops up, play around with the different pages available. Go to search, type in something that interests you, such as thimbles, and viola... look at all those thimbles for sale! You don't know what to do with that stack of old Playboys in the garage? Search under Playboy. Hokey smoke, look at all those girlie magazines up for bid!
Registering is very simple, and bidding is even simpler. If you find something that strikes your eye, and ya JUST GOTTA have it, enter in the highest amount you are willing to pay. If no one else has bid higher, you will be the high bid. And not at the high bid you are willing to pay, but at the current bid that shows on the item description page.
Say you saw an old car model, a 1968 Mustang, that you remember building when you were a youngster, and you decide you REALLY want it. The current bid is $10.00. You are willing to go to $25. to get it. You enter a bid of $25. Now it shows you as the high bidder at $14.50. That means Joe Shmoe had a high bid of $14.00 on it. Since your bid was higher, you now become the high bidder at $14.50. If no one else bids, you will win the item at $14.50. If Joe Shmoe had a high bid of $26. on it, he would be the high bid at $25.50. Comprende?
It really is not that complicated and eBay makes it a point to have all kinds of explanations on the site to help you. And if you still have a question, you can send them an email and they will get back to you. I have no ties to eBay, other than being a seller and bidder. I just can't believe there are people out there who have not even visited the site! Go ahead, it costs nothing, and you will be amazed at what people sell, and even MORE amazed at what people are will to spend on things!
