Not really much I can say that the other reviewers haven't said already. If you're a PF fan then you probably have all these tracks on the original albums/cds. The one thing I like about this compilation is that it ebbs and flows. It's not in chronological order of release. So an old song is followed by a "middle era" song followed by a recent song.
The best tracks for me are the ones from Dark Side on up to The Division Bell. Some of the old Syd stuff I used to find amusing, but now find down right grating. But at least it's all here, be it old or new. I personally am not a fan of "Greatest Hits" cds, especially when it comes to Pink Floyd. Much of the Floyd experience is gained through listening to a whole album from start to finish. Nobody did a concept album better than PF. But I will admit that it is fun to hear the "hits" (if you can call them hits) in the order that they appear on Echoes.
All in all this is the same stuff as you've come to know and love over the years - just packaged differently. Great purchase for the casual fan or for the new fan who is just getting aquainted with PF.
