My Opinion:
I have traveled all over the United States and in Cancun, Mexico. Being a Hugh Mexican food fan I always look for a Mexican food place to eat at.
While traveling in L.A. I checked out El Cholo by a recommendation from a hotel.
Well, I loved El Cholo!!
Their prices, food, service and menu choices are excellent.
The restaurant is authentic looking and has a nice Mexican feel about it. I have now been there twice while vacationing in L.A. and have loved it both times.
El Cholo claims to be Jack Nickelson's favorite Mexican restaurant to go to while in L.A. Well, I don't know about that but it is sure MY favorite.
El Cholo is on my top five of the best Mexican places to eat at, out of a long list of Mexican restaurants I have been to all over the United States and Mexico.
Expect at least an hour wait - another good indicator of how excellent this place is.
I highly recommend that you try out El Cholo and see for yourself how wonderful it is.
