Against my better judgement I let my husband talk me into purchasing all Electrolux appliances for our kitchen remodel. What a mistake! The fridge didn't work the day it was delivered. Thank goodness we had kept our previous fridge and didn't lose all the contents while we waited 2 days for someone to come "fix" our brand new appliance. The icemaker has been the real issue, though. The ice amount was poor from the outset but the tech folks kept having us walk through the same trouble shooting steps each time we called. When it finally did completely die, we had to wait 3 weeks for parts because they were on backorder. If you have replacement parts on backorder, you need to acknowledge that your product has a serious design flaw. Once the parts finally arrived, a technician had to come to repair it. When I had to call the repairman back the next working day, he commented that they had a ton of problems with these icemakers and that he would have to contact Frigidaire to see what they wanted to do. Shouldn't the question be what we wanted them to do? We have now been without an icemaker for a little over a month and we have only owned this product for 12. That brings me to my next issue. When you pay this kind of money for an appliance, for it come with only a one year warranty is a shame. I will try to get my money back for this unit but I know the up hill battle I will be fighting. My guess is they are so concerned with paying Kelly Ripa to be their spokesperson, they can't pay the designers any incentives to get it right. I will never purchase an Electrolux appliance again and will warn everyone I can against doing the same.
