jourdz's Full Review: Electrolux EL5020 Bagged Upright Vacuum
It was marked down to $99.00 from $349.00. I tried to return it, but the kids had used the box for an art project and the store would not take it back with out it. It is a basic sweeper that is very poorly designed, and the suction is no better that any other vac I have owned. My swiffer-vac is much more efficient on bare floors than this vacuum, we are still doing renovations and there is a gap between two floors, it will not suck up the crumbs that the swiffer will. If you want a compact sweeper to keep your area rugs clean it is ok. For carpet it is ok for spot cleaning, however it does not get corners or the area along baseboards clean. It is not worth the orginal ticket price, it isn't even worth $99, however you are paying for the Electrolux name. The wheels are very poorly designed, they are stiff and eventually fall off. I had to take them off, spray with WD40 and loosen the screw that hold them on so they would turn a little more easily, but they now wobble. It is great for a good workout if that is what you are looking for, not for someone elderly or with a strenght problem. It is not a good deal, but it does work for the area rugs without getting out the large upright. If you need something compact and easy to store it is fine, just don't have any great expectations.
