alien10999's Full Review: Madden 2002 for GameCube
Madden 2002 was the very first game I got for my cube. It seemed to me to be the greatest football game I've played. It is so far. After I beat most of the modes and gotten most of the records, I needed memory cards. I got a memory card and the settings, rosters, season, and so on took up the whole memory card. I read somewhere that Nintendo was going to use Flash memory cards instead of the kind that they have now. This game was designed to use the Flash cards. That's why it uses so much space. After playing it for a while i started getting these packs of Madden cards that had tweaks for players and cheats. This seems to be the dumbest part of the game for me. I usually like to cheat after I've beaten the game a couple times. The other thing I noticed was that there is an edit feature that let's you edit the player. So, you can get a really crappy player for the team you want, fill in the name you want, and then edit it to make the stats all 100. That makes the create-a-player feature pointless. Who would use create-a-player after knowing that you could make the ultimate player. Well the game has gotten out-of-season so I've moved on to playing baseball games now. Hope this helped. Later!
