When Big Mouth Billy Bass came out, I thought I wanted one!
I thought it was so cute!
My mother-in-law bought this fish for my husband for a Christmas gift. She bought it on a "Clearance". I wondered why it was on clearance. Now I Know!
Big Mouth Billy Bass is a rubber fish, mounted on a plastic plaque. It is supposed to look like a 'real bass' that has been mounted. It does not. It looks just like what it is - a rubber fish.
Big Mouth Billy operates by batteries. It requires four C batteries, I which were included in ours.
Billy has a sensor, when someone passes in front of him he sings. He also has a switch on the back that enables you to turn the sensor off, then he operates with a red 'push button'.

This fish is supposed to look at you, open and close it's mouth, and flap it's tail as it sings. Ours flaps his tail, and sometimes opens his mouth.
When we first got Billy he was quite a novelty. We all thought he was a blast! He originally resided in our livingroom, operating on the 'sensor' setting. I have since placed him in the bedroom, and switched his setting to 'manual'.
All in all Big Mouth Billy Bass is alright. It is a conversation piece. Although the new has worn off for me, my children absolutely adore him! They love to sing along with him and watch him flap around. So, it looks like Big Mouth Billy Bass is her to stay!
