Pros: super shiny and long-lasting
Cons: bugs and hair can stick to your lips!
The Bottom Line: An ultra-shiny lip gloss that is long-lasting, but beware of what can get stuck on your mouth!

| lucypiggie's Full Review: Elizabeth Arden Crystal Clear Lip GlossClear Clear |
I was badly wanting MAC's Lip Glass, but it was sold out, so I settled on Elizabeth Arden's Crystal Clear Lip Gloss, which looked basically the same: same type of product and very similar packaging.
Crystal Clear Lip Gloss comes in a clear plastic tube. The product is just as the name suggests--a clear lip gloss that has intense shine.
The first time I used Crystal Clear Lip Gloss I squeezed too much onto my fingertip. Just a dab will do ya. This is highly concentrated stuff. The gloss is thick and it smears thickly on the lips. In fact, I didn't like using my finger to put it on. I now use a lip brush. I didn't like having the stuff on my finger afterwards, not greasy, but this non-soluble substance that doesn't wash off that easily.
The gloss wears very well. I am very aware that I am wearing lip gloss, however. It doesn't have a "natural" feeling to it, but heck, when were lips like glass ever "natural" looking?!
Have you ever played the game, What's Grosser than Gross? Well, we can play that game with this lip gloss. What's grosser than gross? On a particularly windy day, my long hair got stuck on my lips. What's grosser than that? A mosquito or some equally small bug came my way, slap dabbed itself on my lips, and got stuck! YELCH. I was horrified. Think fly in the vaseline and you get the idea of what had happened. Ugh. Good thing I was with a *very* good friend.
The lip gloss looks great on bare lips and equally nice over lipstick that you want to spice up. It doesn't completely last through a meal, but you will still have some shine by the end of it. Just not the same high gloss you began with.
Although I like it, I rarely use it. Overly shiny lips, like vinyl, isn't appropriate for daily wear and even at night, sometimes, it can look a little too much. Occasionally I would just dab an itsy-bitsy bit on the center of the lips for a pouty look. That works really well.
I recommend it, and just think, you can use it to kill bugs!
