makeupu's Full Review: Betty J. Eadie, Bryce Neubert, Stan Zenk, Curtis T...
With the tragic events of last weeks suicide bombings now behind us, America is left to rebuild itself - and we will never be the same. All of our lives are forever changed.
Never in my lifetime did I ever think I would live to see such destruction and violence. Terrorism hit only 80 miles from my home, and for the first time in my life, I am scared for my family and the future of the United States. My heart goes out to the President as he faces the most important decision of his career - retaliation.
As a Christian, I am taught to forgive and to turn the other cheek. But this past week, my christianity has been put to the ultimate test. How does one forgive something like this? I find myself asking, "Why?",and, "How could God allow this to happen?" Yes, we all are given free will, but couldn't he have prevented such a tragedy? So many innocent people are dead - I'm not alone in my search for answers -whether your a religious person or not, we all want answers! This week churches were packed to capacity, and for once, politicians stood beside religious leaders and asked almighty God to bless our country and protect us from further attacks. These are the same leaders that won't allow prayer in school, mind you, but nonetheless, the images are touching. Is God trying to send us a message - is this the only way he can get our attention and bring the whole country to it's knees and renew our sense of patriotism and faith in God? 9-11-01 will be etched in our memories... forever.
What about the victims? ...Where are they now? Our only hopes are that some are still alive, miraculously buried far beneath the World Trade Center. Maybe they found an air pocket in some cafeteria complete with food and water - wouldn't that be a glimmer of hope to come out of such tragedy. But what about those who died immediately?
Where are they now? ...In my search for answers this week, I stumbled across an old book that was published in 1992. I believe it holds some valid points and some comforting thoughts to all those who have lost loved ones this past week, even if you don't believe in an afterlife.
Author Betty Eadie believes she knows where everyone goes. She is author of Embraced by the Light, a true story of her near death experience that happened to her in 1973. In her book, Betty gives us a glimpse of life on the "other side",or what some of us call, heaven.
Her death
The mother of seven children, Bettys' doctors suggested she have a hysterectomy. Complications set in after the surgery and she immediately began to feel cold and could feel her body sinking and becoming lifeless. Then she felt a popping sensation as she says her spirit was pulled out of her chest and upward like a magnet. She looked back on her dead, lifeless body with a sense of awe and freedom. Suddenly, three "men" appeared at her side and they told her they had been with her for eternities, and that they were her guardian angels. They explained that death was actually a rebirth into a greater life of understanding and knowledge that stretched forward and backward through time and that every person is given free will to live their life as they choose (including terrorists).
The Tunnel
Her spirit then made the familiar treck through the infamous "tunnel" at a tremendous speed. She was accompanied by others who had died (and also animals), all the time feeling incredible peace, warmth and love. Some souls lingered behind, not wanting to let go of their earthly presence. She thought, "this must be the valley of the shadow of death", and then she saw the light.
The light
The pinpoint of light became closer and then the image of what looked like a man appeared with a brilliant radiant light eminating from him, a light so bright that no earthly eyes could gaze upon it for long without being destroyed. It was then that she felt the most incredible feeling of love. There was no questioning who this was - this was God, her saviour and friend, Jesus Christ. He told her, "Your death was premature, it is not your time, yet."
..."For as a man thinketh, in his heart, so is he" (Proverbs 23:7)
The following are some of the things Betty learned while in the presence of Christ:
* The spirit in each of us is powerful, that it can give strength to the body to ward off illness, or, once the body is sick, to cause it to heal.
* Any act of faith will bless us.
* All experience is for our good, and sometimes it takes what we consider negative experience to develop our spirits.
* Our prayers can benefit persons of this earth as well as the spirit. All prayers of desire are heard and answered. God knows our needs before we do. The more we thank God for our blessings we receive, the more we open the way to further blessings.
* There are many other worlds and galaxies out there, all created by God.
* Everything is done for the good of the spirit.
* We are all here at different levels of spiritual development.
Life review
She then was shown events of her life, re-experiencing all of the thoughts and emotions she once felt, and how others felt around her. She felt all the suffering and pain she had inflicted on others in her lifetime. But she was not judged, instead, she was judging herself. She also was shown all the good she had done to others and the rippling effect it can cause. Love is the only thing that matters.
When we "die", we experience nothing more than a transition to another state. If the death is traumatic, the spirit quickly leaves the body before they can actually experience any pain. Most spirits choose to remain on the earth to comfort their loved ones and help their spirits heal. Is this the reason for all of the hauntings... hmmm...
Some who die as "atheists", have a difficult time moving on as their earthly bodies cling to the greed they have known their whole lives. They lack the faith to reach for the light, but eventually, all must eventually accept Jesus Christ and surrender to his love.
She also learned that we chose to come to earth with certain individuals because of the work we choose to do together; the same holds true for our families. The spiritual bonding remains with us over the course of our lifetimes, thus the feelings for people you are deeply attracted to.
Spirits can choose to enter their mothers body at any stage of her pregnancy and immediately experience mortality. Those souls who only survive a few moments after birth also completed their earthly mission. Their deaths would provide challenges to help their parents grow.
Farewell, heaven
As thousands of angels surrounded her with intense love and music, she was then shown her life mission, which was later erased from her memory. The Lord's promise was, "The days of earth are short. You will not be here long and you will return". Her spirit quickly slipped back into her sick, weakened earthly body. Within moments, demonic monsters entered her room only to be chased away by her guardian angels. Another ghostly figure entered her room, a little girl who she had met in "heaven", who later turned out to be her future adopted daughter.
In conclusion...
As far fetched as some of this may sound, what if this was true? Who is she hurting by writing such a book? This was a New York Times bestseller and I'm sure she made a hefty profit from it and I'm sure Betty Eadie has been "attacked" for writing this book, but the one true message she delivers throughout this book is..." Above all, love one another. "As spoken to her by... Jesus Christ .
And what's wrong with that in a time like this?
May God bless America and may the souls of those who perished, be Embraced by the light.
