Emerald Dry Roasted Almonds
These come in one of those green plastic canisters just like its nutty siblings. There are indentations on both sides of the canister's center to make gripping easy and to give one the illusion that there are more nuts in there.

My Personal Experience With Emerald Dry Roasted Almonds
It's probably not a good idea to have an open canister of Emerald Almonds sitting on the desk before me, but I like to immerse myself in the topic at hand.
I've read some critical comments about these almonds on other sites about the seasoning masking that natural almond taste. For me this isn't an issue. The taste of the seasoning is very subtle and allows the delicious almond taste to rise to the fore.
I like that the seasoning is baked on the almonds, a process that coats the almonds with flavor and adds a matte sheen to the outside.
I've had other brands of almonds with no flavoring added, and have been put off by the feel and texture of the skin. I don't like the fuzzy feel on the skin of my hands and I don't like that fuzzy, peach skin like texture on my tongue either. With the Emerald nuts there's none of that icky texture that I dislike.
The almond is actually the seed of the fruit of the almond tree. As do its cousins, the peach, apricot, and cherry, the apricot fruit contains seeds or pits. That unwelcome feel of the almond skin is as unwelcome to me as peach fuzz. I can't stand biting into a peach with the skin intact.
Finally -I very much enjoy the taste and crunch of Emerald Dry Roasted Almonds, so much so that it's very easy for me or anyone else to overindulge. To save myself from pigging out on almonds, I first pour a portion into a small Dixie cup to limit myself. I do admit to sometimes cheating and filling the Dixie cup twice. In my mind though, I'm still eating small portions so it's OK.
Healthy Almonds - Do some googling and you'll literally come across hundreds of sites that tout the health benefits of almonds. Yes, almonds are high in fat, but the fat is monounsaturated. They're high in calories, but that's why one must limit the size of portions. They're also a good source of beneficial antioxidants. Flavonoids found in almond skins double the antioxidant punch of almonds so I'm glad the skins on the Emerald almonds are so easy to swallow.
Researchers have linked almonds to reduced risk of heart disease, and lower cholesterol. Almonds contain Vitamin E, magnesium, and potassium.
