Pros: It is a good size for a bedside stand.
Cons: The sound is somewhat "tinny". The CD player stopped working after about 6 months.

My Mom bought this for my autistic son for his 8th birthday. My son likes to listen to music and it helps him relax before bed. He didn't even mind the "tinny" speaker sound. It worked fine for less than 3 months and then the CD player stopped working. What a nightmare that was! I had to get it through to my kid that the CD was broken. Not a good night! :o) The item was never moved or dropped and was played once each night. The radio still works, but doesn't get too good of reception (in all fairness, most radios have some problems with reception where we live). Being a gift, the receipt is not to be found. This is the second clock radio cd player from Emerson that has found its way into this house. The other one lasted 6 months of intermittent use before the CD player broke. The bottom line is, DON'T BUY THIS ITEM unless you like having useless electronics taking up space.
