| mcmaster's Full Review: Emissive Energy Microlight Flashlight LML2007 |
While unpacking my duffle bags from Iraq, I have decided to write reviews for all of the products that I used while serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Whether it be flash lights, mini lights, micro lights or spot lights, soldiers need lights! I had three to four on me at all times. I carried one l-shaped olive drab, military flash light with a red lens on my body Armour. I also carried a Mini Maglite on my belt, as well as an extra in my rucksack. Lastly, I carried a Microlight Translucent Blue Flashlight on my dog tags. The light is about the same size and weight as a dog tag, and its always right there if you need it in a hurry.

Like the Mini Maglite® , the Microlight Translucent Flashlights were in serious demand in Iraq, and Afghanistan. Soldiers would wear these minuscule lights on their dog tags or shirt collar. They are very easy to use. One side of the light is a large button. You can press the button manually and it will stay on as long as you are pressing the button. You can also slide the button up, this locks the on button in place and the light will stay on. The Microlight Translucent Flashlights come in a generous variety of colors and casing types, as well as translucent light colors. I personally have the red, green and blue lights. They are all excellent micro lights!
My Final Thoughts On The Microlight Translucent Flashlights
This technology is pretty new and these Microlight Translucent Flashlights are marvelous. I used the same light with the same batteries for two years on two different tours of duty; Operation Noble Eagle and Operation Iraqi Freedom. I used this light to read for at least 1000 hours. I believe that I gave this little light the ultimate test. I hung around my neck for two years in all sorts of conditions! As the troops come back from overseas tours, this little micro light will gain more and more fame. These are first-rate tactical lights because the actual bulb is very miniature. So the only way to see the light is when its pointed precisely at you. Using the translucent light, a viewer has no depth perception on the light. You couldnt tell if the light was 100 feet from you, or 600 feet away. I would recommend the Microlight Translucent Blue Flashlight to any outdoorsman, soldier or police officer.
