Pros:Long lasting, Eco-friendly, and a long shelf life.
Cons:A little pricey but, you get what you pay for.
The Bottom Line:
These AAA Energizer batteries are excellent no matter what you put them in. I recommend paying a little more for batteries that are going to last.
I have probably tried every brand of AA and AAA batteries on the market at least once throughout the years including recharge-ables, no-name brands from a Dollar Store, to the more expensive ones. I also use them for a variety of different things from flashlights, wireless game controllers, walkie-talkies, remote controls, and more. This particular brand of Energizer Max Alkaline AAA Batteries is what I seem to use the most and is what most of my electronic devices need. No matter what battery I have tried, I always seem to come back to the Energizer batteries no matter what I need it for. They always seem to perform the best compared to any other battery I have tried. Besides the performance of these particular battery the other plus side is that they are Eco-friendly. It is advertised on the back of the box that they contain no added mercury. Even though Energizer says that they can be disposed of right with your regular household trash, I still always wrap them in a small piece of aluminum foil then place them in a small sandwich bag before putting them in the trash. I’m sure I don’t need to do this but, old habits die hard I guess.

The overall battery life of these AAA’s are excellent. No matter what I put them in, or how much I use that particular electronic device, these have a very long life span. They also have an excellent shelf life as well. Of course, if your not going through more than 2 or 4 at a time (and buy a 12 pack) and they last quite a while, they better have a long shelf life. I have had these last more than 6 months in a wireless game controler that gets a lot of use, over a year in a flashlight that also gets a lost of use, and basically forever in a remote control. They don’t come with a way to check the batteries to see what life is left in them but, that never bothers me knowing they will last. These are great for kids toys that are played with a lot as well and is what I purchase when I am buying my Nephews something that needs batteries. Compared to any other AAA battery I have tried, these have lasted the longest by quite a lot.
I have to pay between $12.99 - $13.99 no matter where I purchase these batteries. Wall-Mart, Radio Shack, or wherever you find these they will be about the same price. Most people don’t like to spend $1 per battery which I don’t blame them of course. However, you do get what you pay for in these AAA batteries and that is a long lasting battery no matter what you use them for.
Just A Quick Note:
Recently I was helping to clean out my mothers garage going through and getting rid of stuff. I came across some very old hand held games in the garage that me and my brother had played with as kids. When I pried open the backs, lo and behold there were still energizer batteries in the back of some of them. I guess my parents used them as well and is what got me to think about writing this review. Anyway, the batteries had not leaked nor rusted even after all these years in a garage. The things I found with other brand batteries (will not put the names) had some leakage and rust. Of course ruining what they were in. When I tried new batteries in the games that had no damage they actually worked. I was rather shocked and just strengthened my like for Energizer batteries.
If your looking for a long lasting AAA battery for toys or anything, I recommend buying these. Even though they may cost a little more than others, they will last long enough to save you money in the long run. I have tried rechargeable batteries in the past and just never liked the idea that every time they died, they would loose a little charge in them. They may save you money up front and be a little more convenient but, they just won’t give you the quality of a good strong battery. Look for these Eco-friendly long lasting batteries and give them a try. You should be happy with the results.
