This is a product that most of us probably have heard of one time or another. I have had experience with this product as a supplement for the elderly patients in the nursing home in which I worked. It was used often as a between meal supplement or for those who were tube fed. I have also had experience with those who just don't have an appetite with a friend who completely lost her sense of taste from her chemo treatments. This product is very helpful in these special situations
Ensure is produced by Abbott Labs. It comes in several flavors. The flavors that you can find at your store are chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla. If you order online for home delivery you can get butter pecan and coffee flavors.
This is recommended both by doctors and nutritionists for those who need extra nutrition or are lacking an appetite for food. It is a complete and balanced source of nutrition.
Since it is glutton free, lactose free, and kosher, this can be used by people for whom those things are issues. I have a friend whose child has two of those of these intolerances and it is very difficult for her to find a dietary supplement that he can tolerate. She often will make a shake and include a piece of fruit to make it more tasty to him.
