A thought from a happy envi owner (Reply to this comment)
by greggordon
I read through your negative comment and thought who could put so low a review on such a great product. I recently bought 4 of these and I am not only happy but now a fan of these heaters. I feel they are the Apple product of the heaters!
First the heat slowly diffuses into the room so you will never have a quick fix of heat you need to give it 30 minutes to heat the room, this is part of the heat saving element and money saving, it will heat the home as good as other heaters its more of a thermostat that you leave on all the time and not like the noisy heaters at walmart that you crank when you need it.
Also if your home is not insulated and its -5 F out you might need another space heater or propane shot on once in a while to keep things reasonable. I found we need the propane on only during the coldest times, other than that envi heaters really keep it nice.
We love also the heaters can be set to different settings in each room, the largest room we have one in is 14ft by 20ft.
It just seems to me you never gave them a chance from your comment. We were pleased with the heaters since the day we got them and my wife is always happy with the look of them in the home. I hope this can encourage you to keep these heaters and put them to use and if not maybe you can ship them to me :)

I purchased 2 Envi e-heat units for my small flat in San Francisco. We are on the top floor with Western views, so we get all-day sun. I installed both of these heaters in the same room, about 400' sq and have left them on 24 hours a day for two weeks. The temperature in the room never got about 63 degrees and I got an utility bill that was more than double-last year's at this time when I was using 240v 3100 watt, in-wall heaters.
I requested an RMA 3 different ways from eHeat (request form on Web site, calling and then referred by the telephone agent to an e-mail address). Nearly 3 weeks after my first attempt I got a call back.
I was told by Suzy that they will not return the product (which was purchased less than 30 days ago) because I do not have the original manufacturer packaging (the box inside the shipping box). I did not get the response: we will charge a restocking fee, which I would be OK with, but rather, "We will not return the product without the original manufacturer packaging."
San Francisco Small Claims court, here we come!

Envi Heater (Reply to this comment)
by patricen
contrary to other reviews we found the ENVI heater to supply the perfect amount of additonal heat. We have a 12 x 15 bedroom that gets colder than the rest of the house due to cathedral ceilings and large windows. Outdoor temps are around 10F and inside we use heat pump set at 69. this room is consistantly 8 degrees colder no matter how we arrange the duct work.
We set it up in less than 20 minutes. ignoring the hight from floor rule we put it a little higher due to the higher ceilings. The built in box template is a bit of a fight but works fine for level measurement. It really stinks for the first 2 days but then it works as promised.
nice heat, no fan or noise, has a thermostat keeps the room toasty warm with the door closed.
we turn it on an hour before bed, and couldnt be happier with the performance and look. I dont think it would heat the room on its own very well but for additional heat this is perfect. We are happy to have purchase this made in America heater.

New Envi heaters (Reply to this comment)
by hannahgram
We just discovered these heaters when we found them in a cottage we rented in the Catskills. We ordered three of them before we even left there! They came within a few days and my husband put 2 of them up immediately. We love them! We have a big old house with no heat vents in any of the bedrooms upstairs; the one we put in one of the bedrooms has kept the room (12x14)very comfortable, even with the thermostat dial less than halfway up. The other one is going in another guest bedroom that is usually like an icebox in the winter. That will be a real test for the Envi... but even if we have to use 2 Envis in there, it will be worth it. We put the another one in our bathroom - no more icy toilet seat to sit on!! The heat seems to pour out of the top of these heaters, which is amazing since they do not have any type of fan. We are more than pleased with the performance of the Envi; when the electric bill comes I'm hoping that we will still be pleased! If not, I will let you know!

I had the same experience with the new heater. I replaced my old heaters as well. Truly lousy performance.
