| drew6652's Full Review: Epson Perfection 1200U Flatbed Scanner |
I've been looking for a scanner for a very long time. I've been comparing 3 brands, Umax (my old scanner) Hewlet Packard, and Epson, and after comparing all of them at the local computer store i can easily say that Epson outdid all the others in every category possible, such as speed, ease of use, funtions, and scan quality.
When i got home setup was fairly easy. In less than an hour i had done many scans and just about figured all of it's featured. The steup guide is easy to follow, as well as the installation. The quality of the scans is really nice too, and i didnt pay a whole lot for the scanner either.
Software was very easy to use too and had multple editing features to jazz up my scans. I used it for scanning my old 35mm camera pics onto my comp and print them out. Not only did they look great, but they even looked BETTER than the original photo and my digital camera. You will find many uses for it and will be very happy.
The only bad thing i can think of is that's it's kinds bulky and big. The only thing i miss about my old scanner to my new one is my old one was thinner. Also, about one out of 15-20 scans, my computer would freeze up, but i would just shut down and retstart and keep going. It's great for home and office use. You will love it. Trust me.
