The Bottom Line: Very good unit, doesn't do 2 sided prints, no network card, don't use either. update 4-5-08 main paper feeder hard to install,keep straight at times, maybe due to thin paper

Just bought this printer 10-27 Staples. My Cannon mp780 died after 1-1/2 year use, it was fine till it died. Left holding the bag on ink. About 20 cartridges. Back to this one. Very easy to install, ink very easy to install, but will need a flashlight to see inside for ink placement. cost was $113 with rebate from Staples. Employee very helpful. I had an old Epson that was great and never broke down just was retired due to being out dated, I needed an multifunction unit. Hope this unit works as well as old Epson. I did buy extended warranty $20. Hope Staples will honor it if needed. Best Buy wouldn't stand behind their extended warranty I bought on a Microwave. So I didn't consider them for any purchase. and can't recommend them for any purchase. Back to Epson. We have done some printing and copying and all is well, so far very happy. Key board and LED is very handy and very easy to use. Much better than Cannon. Paper installed fast and keeps in line, at times Cannon had to be adjusted in holder. Also on install I wasn't bombarded with other installs to use. So that was nice. It didn't take much more than maybe 5 clicks. Notice, that it also mentions not to use the automatic install from windows, which sees as new hardware, cancel that when it comes up. Don't plug USB cord until told too by install CD. Much smaller unit tan Cannon, and less weight.
update on use, 4-5-08, working fine do not use it much, just changed cart. pretty easy with a flashlight.
worst problem is the paper feeder, hard to keep paper straight and in line. don't try and add more paper when some still in feeder, remove all and then try. I think it might be the thin paper, when using a heavier paper it works better. fax and top feeder work well. Would buy again
