I bought this printer specifically for printing on CDs and DVDs. That was a big mistake. I paid over $200 for a substandard quality printer that only occasionally will actually print on a CD.

From day 1 it takes 5 to 10 attempts to get the printer to print on a CD. Either the Epson supplied driver or the printer firmware gets confused and says there is a jam without even attempting to load the CD tray. Sometimes it decides that it will print your CD cover on a piece of paper but forget about getting it to print on the actual CD.
I don't even try anymore. After a 90 minute session where I failed to get it to print on even one CD, I threw the CD tray in the trash.
This printer does print reliably on paper however the photo print quality pales in comparison to my much cheaper Canon inkjet printer.
As soon as the ink cartridges are empty in this printer, I'm throwing it in the trash too.
