Pros: Great little mp3 player IF you can get one cheap.
Cons: There are a few, read the review.
The Bottom Line: The cheaper you get one for the better. Great mp3 player after all the 'upgrades'

| reggylister's Full Review: Ericsson Hpm 10 Digital Player - 32mb |
I'll try not to repeat anything already mentioned. I like this mp3 player and you should check out all the other reviews to see all it's good points. Think of this as an update to all the other reviews.
I paid just over $200 US for this mp3 player from Cingular Wireless. I paid too much.
These are the gripes I have with the player that do little to justify its high price.
The interface between the mp3 player and your computer is old technology. That's why it's so slow. You can buy a new USB MMC reader for around $20 which is much faster.
You’ll need to know that the supplied MMC reader software and drivers are NOT compatible with Windows XP. INSTALL AT YOUR OWN RISK. A newer USB MMC reader should work fine.
You will quickly find that the supplied 32MB MMC is a little too small. Most mp3s you download are at least 128kbps, which means you'll only be able to fit around 6 mp3s on a 32MB MMC. You can pick up a 64MC MMC for about $60. I tried and tried but couldn't find much information on a 128MB MMC, let alone buy one.
Don't make the mistake of buying a SD (secure digital) MMC as it's not supported by the mp3 player.
If aesthetics are important to you, than the mp3 player (in my opinion) does make the phone look a little awkward. If aesthetics are not important, than you might as well go ahead and buy an adapter as well so you can use regular better quality earphones. (eg. for better bass) Though the ones supplied are quite adequate.
Keep this in mind: phone + mp3 player + adapter = not pretty.
If you're going to be using the mp3 player allot you also might want to buy a higher capacity battery for your phone.
Last of all, keep in mind that when you’re not using it you can't really wrap the earphones around your phone as neatly as you would a Discman or Walkman. For this and the player itself, a little pouch would come in handy.
I do like this player, but just keep this in mind, the cheaper you get your hands on one the better (try ebay?) cause after all the 'upgrades' this is one cool mp3 player.
