Pros: Cheap, Great sound! A steal!
Cons: Parallel port connector sucks!
The Bottom Line: It's a steal at the price and if you get a bit tech savvy, with a few add-on's like more memory (128MB) and a card reader it's a dream player!

| kartiq's Full Review: Ericsson Hpm 10 Digital Player - 32mb |
I have the T68i and i was on the lookout for a MP3 player, once i came to knew that I could turn my phone into one I instantly went for it. But, I am a Macintosh user, so disregarding the Windows only drivers and support provided by Ericsson, I went ahead and bought it, sure in my Mac's ability to work around it. I use a Wallstreet Powerbook G3 with a USB bus, so it's pretty old but I am confident in my Mac!
First I tried the provided parallel port connector on a windows machine and had persistent crash issues (and the connector is huge), so I gave up on that and went back to my Mac, figuring out how to connect it, I threw away the provided connector and instead hooked up my Digital Camera (which uses SD/MMC cards) to the Mac, inserted the provided 32 MB card in it, and threw in the songs I needed, and voila, I have songs on my phone!
32 MB is well, very limited so I got a 128MB Card (despite many people saying that it might not work and Ericsson does not say that it's supported) and tried the camera trick on it but failed, as my camera doesnt work with 128MB cards (if the total no. of pictures it can store on the card go over 999 it crashes and does'nt recognise the card), so I thought of a permanent solution, got myself a slim Taiwan made MMC/SD card reader/writer, it cost me about 20 US$, and you dont need any drivers with a Mac, even though the software CD has it. It's a beautiful solution, I can now shift songs from my office windows PC and from the Mac at home effortlessly using the portable card reader, and it's just a 20 odd more dollar investemt you Mac users will make, and if you already have one it's pretty cool! (it's a good idea for any Windows user as well)
So if you have a Mac and a T68 or other supported Ericsson phones, go ahead and get this MP3 player, its well worth it, till the iPod starts to take your calls i.e!
