| fallinlight's Full Review: EstÉE Lauder 100% Time Release Moisture Cre... |
Whenever I buy a new bottle of Estee Lauder perfume I always receive a big bag full of samples that I never end up using. About 2 months ago I had run out of my usual Innoxa moisturiser and decided it was time to make use of my free goodies. I tried both the Skin Refinishing creme and the 100% Time Release Moisture Creme and I was impressed by both.
The 100% Time Release Moisture Creme came in a tiny .5 OZ jar and I went through it very quickly. It's a lovely product to use- it's very light weight so it doesn't leave your skin feeling clogged and it doesn't leave an oily residue like a lot of moisturisers on the market. It has a common skincare-type fragrance that is quite pleasant. It lives up to it's "time release" guarantee in that I'd apply it before bed and my skin would be silky smooth the next morning and would continue to be throughout the day.
Being only 19, I still have pretty smooth skin but after using this product my skin felt amazing. I have never had a moisturiser improve my skin so much. Melbourne's winter is pretty harsh and my skin often dries out around my chin and on my forehead, just above the eyebrows. The creme was really impressive as it protected my skin throughout the day without needing any reapplication.
The only drawback to this product is that if you put a lot on, like I tend to do, then it takes a little while to be absorbed by your skin. Depending on how much you use, it can take up to half an hour for the shine to go away. It doesn't feel oily at all, however, and using it never led to any break outs.
There aren't any ingredients listed on my sample jars but the Estee Lauder website claims the creme contains "AquaSpheres" (time release continuous moisture pulses, apparently) that keep "dry zones drenched for up to 12 hours", and "Unique "fossilized" BioMineral Water, fortified with over 70 vital minerals", that "energize your skin and help it absorb and retain moisture like never before". I usually take descriptions like that with a grain of salt but I have to say they are pretty spot on in regards to the results.
It is recommended that you use the creme twice a day but I found once was plenty. I have never actually paid for a jar of this stuff- I still have 2 sample jars left to get through- but after some research I found that you can buy a 1.7 OZ jar for USD 35 online at the Estee Lauder store (www.esteelauder.com). It's pretty pricey but it's honestly one of the best, if not the best, moisturiser I have ever used. When the time comes that I'll actually have to pay for a jar of this stuff, I'll be happy to hand over my AUD 70.
