Wow! Now that is one major splurge!
They've put out a new version of Idealist recently that I need to review soon.
Thanks for commenting,

Can use it on the body... if you can afford it! :) (Reply to this comment)

As a massage therapist, I had a client bring in a $70 size bottle of Idealist for a body polish before her wedding. She wanted her entire body massaged with this stuff and I have to tell you the wonderful feel of one's face after applying this wonder treatment was felt down to her toes -- now if only they would make it in a lotion for the body! :) Great review.

Re: Have you tried Olay? (Reply to this comment)

Thanks.......I actually HAVE tried the Olay version. But it was after Idealist, so of course it just didn't measure up :-)
Too bad as it's much nicer on the pocketbook!

I hear ya :-)
My skin is oily with enlarged pores, too, so I don't feel a bit guilty splurging on this product to help make my skin look tons better. I'm 35 but could pass for 28 easy!

Yep.....I have the Micro-D too although I can't use it very often because my skin can get sensitive and red easily when I use it.

Not only is this an awesome product, coupled with Idealist Micro D ( 2 times per week ) your skin will look even better than it already does! Micro D is not suitable for a TRUE sensitive skin type, but its ok x 1 per week for a dry skin, fantabulos! i love Estee Lauder

Estee Lauder Skin Refiner (Reply to this comment)
by mizmurmur
This is the best thing I have EVER used on my skin. I have super oily, sensitive skin and I've tried everything in nearly every price range. It is worth the price. I am 46 but most people think I'm 34. Lately I've been "suffering" from enlarged pores and more defined smile lines. I don't mind getting older but I don't want to look old. This product has dramatically reduced the look of them and keeps the shine down to a minimum. I didn't think it was possible. :-)

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave such a lengthy comment! I suppose they can charge whatever they want, 'cause one they have you hooked, they've got you! Love this stuff :-) Even for oily skin....

Finally........ A AA** Product that is Worth the Price (Reply to this comment)
by Matlgal
I cannot say anything new on this product. It is exactly what it says that it is. I have aging dry/oily skin with some skin irritations (Hormonal I am sure) and with 2 weeks of once a day use I now have the skin I only dreamed of having before. NO I don't look 20 years younger but... my skin feels like velvet, my makeup foundation goes on with half the amount. It spreads and blends evenly. It lasts all day and if it wasn't so darned expensive I would use as requested morning and night. But single use is showing dramatic results on this face and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. Caution... use a tiny amount... a little truly goes a long way !. I now have a reason to win the Lotto! I want to bathe in this stuff from nose to toes daily !! :).
I recommend it to any age, any skin type. My Daughter (in her 30's) thinks it is slightly better than the "Origins" "Perfect World" product even though both products are excellent. talk to your Estee Lauder representative at the cosmetic counter and see if they still have the samples. My tiny sample tube got me through 5 days and I was hooked after that and ordered mine online through "Fragrance.com" with a coupon and free shipping so it wasn't quite as expensive as it's ususal $42.00 oz. They also sell it on Ebay, and at the Orange County Swamp Meet (So. Calif). So shop around a little but do NOT deny yourself this luxury. Good Luck.. FEEL GOOD about You.

Good advice!
I've been taking calcium supplements for years now already myself.

I'm trying extra calcium supplements instead and help out my whole body and not just my face. It's always better to start from the inside. Calcium is an antioxidant, hormone-like, 5th most important requirement for the body and nearly everyone is deficient according to the leading expert...I'll be writing a review w/in few weeks.

Re: UGH! (Reply to this comment)

Sorry this didn't work for you, Chris.
It seems like NOTHING can dry my skin out, but Idealist sure helps with my excess oil problem. My skin tone is clearer and my pores are much smaller too. What a noticeable difference!!

I so wanted to like this stuff! I mean I liked how my face felt after using it, but it ended up not only drying me out, but also broke me out!
Just as well, it's not like I have $50 sitting around so I can use this stuff! LOL

so much praise for this product, but I've never tried it. If it's as good as everyone says, it's probably one I should pick up eventually.
Great review!
