My husband and I were getting ready to move into our new house and I wanted to buy a new vacuum. The one we had was heavy, spit more stuff out the back of it than it actually picked up, and I had to change the belt on it almost everytime I used it. I have allergies and I wanted something that wasn't going to redistribute all the dirt and dust that I was trying to get rid of. The problem was, we didn't have a lot of money to spend (we just bought a house).
We went shopping and found the Eureka EnviroVac. At $129.99 it was definitely in our price range and it also had a Hepa Filtration system. When we got it home and took it out of the box, we had no trouble with the assembly.
The handle is a little higher (they call it the Back Saver) and all the attachments are right there. It came with a crevice tool, upolstery tools and an extension for the hose so you can get your ceiling fans or those icky cobwebs in the corners. It has a 12 amp motor that is really powerful.
I've had this vacuum for almost three years and I haven't had a single problem with it. The bags are easy to change and I don't have to run out and buy new belts for it everytime I have to vacuum my carpets.
Since I bought this vacuum, I have had salesmen leave my house angry. You know those salesmen that come around selling the $1500 vacuums and tell you to turn on your vacuum so they can shine the light on it to see all the dust coming out of it. Well, they were upset because not one speck of dust came out of my $130 vacuum.
The only complaint that I have is that the cord could be a little longer. I would recommend this product to everyone especially if you are on a tight budget.
