| cherylzcool's Full Review: Eureka Enviro Steamer 370 Upright Vacuum |
My 16 year old son calls me the "clean freak" since purchasing my Eureka High Filtration Upright Enviro Vac. He asks why I'm always running it!
I love my 'new' vacuum. Actually I purchased it at WalMart about 6 months ago and have had no problems with it except for 1 broken belt.
1. The bags are very easy to change, and they're relatively inexpensive. I purchase them for a little over $1.00 each.
2. The accessories are easy to get at. There are extension tubes, as well as your usual smaller accessories. They all fit neatly in the 'handle' part of the vacuum; eliminating trying to open and close covers to put them away! My experience is that accessories you have to pull open a cover to put away just don't always get put away!
3. The hose is so convenient. Other vacuums have a separate hose attachment whereby, you have to attach the hose. One end of the Eureka High Filtration Upright Enviro Vac is attached to the vacuum. The other end you pull out when you need it, put an attachment on it if you choose and use it. You then replace it when you're finished. No hassle!!
4. We have three cats and this vacuum is super. I have absolutely no complaints about the way this 12 amp vac picks up dust, cat hair, thread, etc. There are several settings between low and high. Mostly I keep mine on low, as our carpeting is not high, and it picks up everything at this setting..... The time my belt broke, a sock got stuck and I sure can't blame the vacuum for that one.
5. The handle is taller than most models and makes it convenient and easy to reach under wide areas. I can also vacuum standing upright without breaking my back.
6. One difficulty I have is remembering to check the filter. To save money, I wash it between changes and put the change dates on my calendar. As we live in dusty Arizona, I have to remember to change the filter more frequently than people in other areas might have to.
7. Now for my ONLY complaint. I get so busy vacuuming that I forget to change electrical outlets. I wish the cord on this vacuum was much longer
and I could just keep going, and going and going!
8. It also helps that I grew up in a Eureka family. This participated in making my choice, along with the cost of the vacuum (about $120 when I bought it) and the features I have listed.
I would highly recommend this product!
