Paper Magic Groups Eureka™ Brand Self Adhesive, Chalkboard Motif Name Plates measuring a robust 9 5/8 X 3 ¼  inches is  packaged 36 to the packet.  I use both outsized and smaller sized name plates in the classroom. 

Some plates are used to indicate student pinning boards, others assign the table where the student will sit this week, or the area for Little Partner reinforcement work following the less as well placing on a chart, or the door to indicate our class enrollment.

This eye catching, adhesive backed name plate is a handy 3.25 x 9.5 inches.  Center write upon area is shown in cream with the top line indicated by the bottom of a strip of green representing a classroom chalkboard.  The chalkboard holds typical flowers or sad face or equation as is often found emblazoned upon a chalkboard.  At the bottom of the plate is another strip of chalkboard and the chalk rail upon which can be seen a piece or two of chalk, a chalk eraser and an apple.

Bordering the whole is a strip of brown appearing as wood for holding the chalkboard in place.  The center cream writing area is broken with a slotted mid line and a solid lower line with the next line indicated by the chalkboard.

That no man’s land of writing below the solid line and the line below is a difficult area for many Little Scribes as they struggle to get letters not only between or on the proper line, at the right size, lower case or capital and not droop down into the no write area unless the letter happens to be supposed to sag on down as when writing a p or q, j or g etc.

Plates are manufactured using vivid non-hazardous inks set down upon robust card stock produced from carefully chosen raw materials selected to meet or surpass governmental and industry standards regarding suitability, durability and safety for use in areas where young children may reasonably be expected to be present.  I find, as a rule, the plates we use in Osage County First Grade show little to no signs of wear at the end of the school term despite being used throughout the school term and are added to the packet of take home materials as we remove certificates, and other items at the end of the school term. 

Osage County First Grade Little Learners find these well made devices to be First-rate when used to specify individual cubby space, student' table area or desk, folders, pin up boards, chairs, and exhibit area upon a large bulletin board; possibilities for use of these name plates is limited only by lack of imagination. 

I have long found multipurpose name plates to be an economical, witty and handy method for indicating individual work spaces in the classroom, and after career spanning 3+ decades in the classroom with hundreds of Little Learners present I have made use of a great many flat, tent and self adhesive name plates. 

I find this particular collection of name plates to be remarkably eye-catching; times are changing, classrooms no longer even have a chalkboard in the classroom, Little Learners may or may not recognize the green bards on the plate as a chalkboard, and if recognized may not realize what the use is.  I have never taught in a building with actual slate, black boards, but have used many a chalkboard. 

I especially like using materials in the classroom that Little Learners can take home at the end of the school term.  Name plates are reasonably priced; kid centered and can be used to embellish the student’s room at home following the last day of school.
