Bought the Shark VX33 yesterday. I charged it for a bit more than the required 20 hours. I wanted to test it out on my stairs - which is what I bought it for. I was quite surprise that the vacuum couldn't even do the stairs. The first few were a bit impressive because it had good suction, and the brush appeared to do a decent job. However, much to my dismay, it died about two-thirds of the way through the job. Also disappointing was that shortly before it's death, the brush began making an odd noise like it was about to break. For a vacuum advertised for stairs - it doesn't even do it's job. It is going back to the store right now.

I guess if I was going to pick up an a small spill of crumbs in the kitchen once a year, this would be just grand.
