About Me: CONCENTRATE on a more productive New Year. Heres to 2012 !

OMG ! He has toes ! This made 2009 Vity Awards . . .

Written: Nov 04 '09
Pros:A less expensive than a doctor visit, relief for inflammation
Cons:Quite expensive but cheaper than loosing work for a week
The Bottom Line: Expensive. All natural but much better than limping, loosing lost wages due to immobility yet quite effective !

Unfortunately there are those people in a very small percentile who are affected by gout or gout-like symptoms for example swelling and intense pain from the uric acid forming hard crystals that really hurt when accumulated in a swelled fashion even if they avoid foods high in purine (uric acid) or drink any alcohol that might exacerbate an over-production of uric acid, its just in the genes.

After enjoying some ribs on Memorial Day bathed in a Wild Turkey sauce (which had *anchovy paste as the third ingredient), dad experienced the ‘no toes syndrome’ the following day. His foot, the left this time, had blown up and seemingly made his toes disappear from sight as the swelling was pretty major. Of course mom went to the grocery store for the 100% black cherry juice, bottled water and loads of green teas all decaffeinated to start dad on a decreasing water weight and bloating and to neutralize the excess uric acid which had accumulated, overnight.

The inflammation was so intense he could not put any pressure on the heel, arch or toes to speak of because the pain was unbearable. Since we usually look to the homeopathic remedies first, I decided to check out natural inflammatory drugs. Sure enough I found that EuroPharma offers CURAMIN the ‘end pain now’ miracle drug from Terry Naturally, and this pill taken twice daily managed to alleviate the pressure and make the swelling go down considerably.

As a dietary supplement for someone who might produce excess uric acid, this pill is a lifesaver, although no fruity flavors nor a hole in the middle does this little lifesaver have. It is a capsule holding the precious powdered curcumin encased in a gelatinous material and not too difficult to swallow.

Curamin is generally used for reducing the inflammation of muscle tissue from the inside out. According to EuroPharma’s website and owner, Terry Lemerond of the health food store pictured, “Curamin is an all-natural dietary supplement. It is a powerful formulation of: Curcumin, curcuminoids, dl phenylananine, Boswellia and Nattokinase. Curamin enhances the body’s natural defense mechanisms for the relief of pain due to overuse.*

Perhaps walking a few miles in the days before Memorial Day arrived he might have over-used his feet but heck at nearly 68 he can out run his grandkids, so he thought nothing of any discomfort emanating from the ankle to the arch of his left foot two days after the scrumptious ribs.

Supplement Facts:
taken from bottle label

Serving size= 2 capsules
Servings per= 30

Ingredients:

Each two capsules contain Proprietary EP612 Complex equaling 1,005miligrams which is inclusive of Curcumin, Curcuminoid, Boswelia, DLPA or dl Phenylalanine and Nattokinse.

Other minor ingredients are: Magnesium Stearate and gelatin capsules.

I will note that this particular natural drug, Terry Naturally Curamin is expensive for 60 capsules, this bottle was $35.95 ; however for most flare-ups of calf, ankle and foot swelling, this does really help a lot. Sports enthusiasts and very active people can appreciate a cure-all if the residual effects are not harmful and with this, there are none that I am aware of. There is a warning not to take this or any natural or synthetic drug while pregnant or nursing unless your primary care physician says its ok . . .

Although I am not a doctor nor a licensed clinical therapist, I know my body and what helps to reduce swelling besides cold and hot compresses. According to the bottle‘s label, “this product enhances the body‘s natural defense mechanisms for the relief of inflammation and pain due to overuse.*

There is a guaranteed satisfaction as well as an indication to use as needed but if the pain persists a person can take 2-3 capsules every eight hours but not to exceed more than eight in a given 24-hour period.

So if you have pain and inflammation and DON’T want to reach for some OTC or doc prescribed synthetic med, try Terry Naturally’s Curamin. You will be glad you did.

Thank you for reading and

Enjoy !
